Things are busy and getting busier!

At this time last year, we were still digging out from the latest blizzard. Tomorrow we are all expecting 53+ degree temperatures.  I think I can safely say that the weather, the upcoming presidential election and the uptick in the stock markets, have all positively affected the sale of residential properties in the area.  But don't just take my word for it, ask any realtor.

Things are humming! While I hang my license in the Orange office of Coldwell Banker, my business and circle of influence cover the Greater New Haven region and beyond.  Regardless of the town, I have had a regular stream of CMA appointments this year (that's Comparative Marketing Analysis - when I analyze market EVIDENCE to assess the market value of your home), and I have already had several closings, with even more scheduled for the month of March.   Last year we lost 6 weeks of market time to bad weather and it was depressing! I am very thankful to be busy!

My husband and I are like two ships that pass in the night (or wee hours of the morning). My days are filled with showings, scheduling appointments, developing marketing strategies and collateral pieces, tracking market activity in "my towns" and preparing evaluations for my clients properties. When things finally settle down around 8pm, I catch up on my emails, prepare for upcoming appointments and open house and post my properties to the social media sites.  It's exhausting, but exhilarating at the same time. It's nice to see people jumping into the market to finally buy that property they've been waiting two years to purchase. It's nice to have multiple offers on properties again. But mostly, it's nice to feel the energy of buyers who are motivated to buy and sellers who are motivated to sell.

That's it, just some good news for a change!
