Making Light in Terezin, a documentary by Filmmaker/Playwright/Author, Woodbridge-native and Yale graduate Richard Krevolin, will have its New England premiere on Saturday, June 1 at Lyric Hall in the Westville section of New Haven.
This remarkable documentary film tells the true story of how, in the darkest days of WWII, Jewish prisoners fought back against the Nazis…by singing, dancing and laughing. Three screenings are scheduled: 12 p.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Each screening will include discussion and Q&A with Richard Krevolin and book sale/signing of the film’s companion piece, Making Light in Terezin: The Show Helps Us Go On, co-written with Bethany-native Nancy Cohen. The 7 p.m. screening features a wine and cheese reception. Tickets: $12 (12 & 3pm), $18 (7pm).
