Crack Cocaine Seized In Woodbridge Narcotics Arrest: State Police

The incident occurred Wednesday evening.

WOODBRIDGE, CT — A suspect was arrested by state police Wednesday on Route 15 South in Woodbridge with 31 grams of packaged crack cocaine in his possession, according to authorities.

The suspect's identity was not disclosed, but he was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over on a traffic stop near exit 59, and in addition to the crack state police also seized a digital scale, cash, gun ammunition and drug paraphernalia.

"After stopping said vehicle, Tpr. M. Thomas identified a very strong scent of marijuana emanating from the passenger compartment of the vehicle," wrote state police in a Facebook post. After speaking to the passenger, he provided the bag of marijuana to Tpr. Thomas. Further investigation revealed approximately 31grams of packaged crack cocaine, a digital scale, $500 cash, .38 caliber ammunition and drug paraphernalia."

The passenger was charged with:

  • Illegal possession of narcotics with intent to sell
  • Illegal possession of Drug paraphernalia
  • Illegal manufacturing/distribution of narcotics
  • Criminal possession of ammunition

He was was held in lieu of a $50,000 cash/surety bond and was scheduled to be arraigned in New Haven Superior Court on Thursday, Feb. 23.
