CBJ welcomes Adina Hoffman & Peter Cole, authors of Sacred Trash: The Lost and Found World of the Cairo Geniz. Sacred Trash is a story of buried scholarly treasure that rivals in drama, scope, and importance the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls and sheds profound light on 900 years of Jewish life. Peter Cole is an acclaimed poet and translator; a winner of MacArthur Genius Award and the National Jewish Book Award. Adina Hoffman is a prize-winning American essayist, critic, and literary biographer. Her book, A Poet’s Life in the Palestinian Century, was named one of the best 20 books of 2009 by the Barnes & Noble Review. The free talk will take place in the Youth Lounge. The entire community is invited to attend.
