Exploring the Sacred Feminine in Judaism Program at the JCC

The women of Temple Emanuel of Greater New Haven will be hosting an event entitled Celebrating Ourselves: Exploring the Sacred Feminine in Judaism. The program will provide an educational forum for all Jewish women to explore and elucidate, to seek and to satisfy, to acknowledge and affirm our power as sisters who willingly embrace Judaism through studying the Sacred Feminine.

Moderated by Olga Markus, an accomplished Jewish educator, the opening event is a panel discussion of women that will include Sydney Perry (CEO, Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven); Bluma Hecht (Co-director of Chabad of Orange/Woodbridge); Rabbi Rachel Larkin Wiesenberg (Temple Beth Torah in Melville, New York); the Honorable Joan Margolis (U.S. Magistrate Judge); and Rabbi Suri Krieger (non-denominational, advocate for Pluralistic Judaism).Liba Judd, a MAKOM student and member of Temple Emanuel Synagogue.
