Blogs, e-zines and online literary magazines, as well as web versions of traditional print publications, offer numerous opportunities for new and emerging writers.

The key to writing success is to understand what online markets are best suited to your writing; take advantage of blogs and websites to showcase your talent and collect clips; and use technology to manage your productivity and track your progress.

This workshop is ideal for writers, starting out and published, as well as professionals who want to publish online and/or build a platform to promote their subject matter expertise. Sign up at the adult circulation desk on the upper level of the library or call the library to reserve a spot.

The workshop is led by Anne Witkavitch, principal of Anne W Associates, a communications and change management consultancy, and a published author and speaker. Anne's work appears in the newly released Women Writing on Family: Tips for Writing, Teaching and Publishing and she is editor of the award-winning Press Pause Moments: Essays about Life Transitions by Women Writers. Anne is a blogger for MariaShriver.com and TravelingMom.com and teaches writing at Western Connecticut State University.
