Local Residents Lead Rowing Talk at the Woodbridge Town Library
Learn about the history of rowing in your community

The story of women’s rowing goes back over a century, a fact that many do not know. Join Woodbridge residents Tom Weil and Anne Boucher as they discuss the history of women’s rowing. Tom will cover 1860 to 1970, and Anne will speak about 1970 to the present day, including her own personal memories of the time period and rowing for Yale. Also, you will have the opportunity to look at several rowing artifacts from Tom's collection including memorabilia from the book the Boys in the Boat and from the Olympic winning Yale crews of 1924 and 1956. This event will take place on Tuesday, April 10 @ 7pm in the Library Meeting Room. Please register for the event at this page.
