Man Charged With Theft Of Debit Card From Woodbridge Mailbox: Police
A man has been charged on accusations that he stole a debit card from a mailbox last year, according to police.
WOODBRIDGE, CT — Police have arrested a man accused of stealing a debit card from a resident's mailbox in March 2021. Nasir Brown, 22, was charged with illegal use of a payment card, theft of a payment card, and sixth-degree larceny.
According to police, an investigation found that Brown had stolen several residents' mail and used the proceeds of his theft, a debit card, and personal checks to make fraudulent transactions at local businesses.
He was released on $15,000 bond and will appear in New Haven Superior Court on Wednesday.
