Man Tries To Withdraw $7K From Victim's Account: Woodbridge PD
The accused posted a $50,000 bond.

WOODBRIDGE, CT — A New York man was arrested this week after he tried to fradulently withdraw funds from a local bank, Woodbridge Police said. At 11 a.m. Tuesday, Woodbridge Police responded to a local bank on Amity Road for the report of a suspicious customer.
Bank staff provided dispatch with a description of the male suspect and explained that the transactions he was making were suspicious, police said. Police found the man at the drive – up ATM attempting to fraudulently withdrawal funds, police said.
The Officers’ investigation revealed that Khalid Yawhuza, 40, of the Bronx, NY, was in possession of a fraudulent passport and illegally withdrew $7,000 from someone else’s Citizens Bank Account, police said.

Yawhuza was arrested and charged with third-degree larceny, two counts of first-degree forgery, interfering with an officer, fraudulent use of an ATM, and two counts of criminal attempt to commit fourth-degree larceny.
Yawhuza was able to post his $50,000.00 bond and was released with a court date of July 02, 2018 in New Haven Superior Court for his arraignment.
