New Non-Profit Center for Women and Girls Opens in Bethany

Bethany, CT - Empower Her, Inc., a new non-profit women and girl’s community center, has opened in Bethany at 41 Village Lane, announced Danielle Beerli, MSW, the center's founder and Executive Director.

The center's mission is to connect with, encourage and support women and girls to promote their social and emotional well-being within their lives and their communities.

"We invite girls and women to come together and join a positive support system to help comfort, encourage and empower them in their lives," said Beerli in a statement.

Empower Her, Inc. offers weekly and monthly programming, designed to meet the needs of a specific age group and will offer women and girls the opportunities to learn and also participate in social events. Youth programming is designed around prosocial education and life skills and will include something for young girls through high school.

There will also be mommy and me classes and support groups for women, including breast cancer support and mother/daughter social events as well as homeschool classes, according to officials.

The programs at Empower Her, Inc. will be designed around the needs of the members and is open to members of all surrounding communities.
