The Ladies Guild is an active ministry of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish. Your membership in the Guild helps not only with baking (which there was a lot of this year) but supports many Parish and Community projects. The Guild is very proud of the Service Award Project. The Service Award is a monetary gift offered every year to graduating high school students who, after Confirmation, have served our parish for a minimum of two years in one of the following areas: Altar Server, Choir Member, Usher, Lector, Faith Formation teacher, and/or Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. This award recognizes their commitment to our parish and acknowledges their exemplary display of Christian values.

Jason Christopher Luciani

Jason has served our parish for 6 years as an altar server. He has participated in numerous activities in school and in the community. Noteworthy is his Eagle Scout project where he located all veterans graves in Woodbridge and made sure they all had a flag. He also made a list at each cemetery to locate each veteran. He will attend Iowa State University in the Fall.

Thomas Livesay

Thomas’ experience as a Lector has both reinforced the joy of service and also brought him closer to his personal faith and faith community. He is academically gifted and talented as well as a self motivated student. Thomas has received many academic awards and honors, has participated in many extracurricular activities and has held many roles of leadership. To name a few, Thomas is an Eagle Scout and a National Merit scholar. Thomas will be attending Duke University.

William Thomas McKeon

Billy has been an active participant in the church ministry as a Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion for the last two years. His recommendation spoke of the respect and seriousness and
sense of life long faith he brings to his ministry. As well as being academically gifted, Billy has been an integral part of the Amity High School community in both government and Link Crew. Billy will be attending James Madison University in the Fall.

Cassidy MacNamara

Cassidy has been an altar server for nine years. Her recommendation noted that as an active member of the parish, Cassidy is a faith filled young woman and an outstanding example of what we hope all of our young Catholic teens should be. As well as being a member of the National Honor Society, Cassidy has volunteered in her school community including Special Olympics, Link Crew and student counseling. Cassidy will be attending Sacred Heart University in the Fall.

Maureen Cassidy

Maureen teaches first grade for eight students in the Faith Formation Program. She handles her classroom with ease and responsibility. Maureen knows that this teaching experience will help her
as a Catholic adult. Maureen is a member of the National Honor Society and the Chinese National Honor Society. She looks forward to attending the University of New Hampshire in the Fall.
