Purse Stolen From Vehicle At Gas Station: Police
State police are investigating a recent theft at a local gas station.
WOODBRIDGE, CT — A purse was stolen from a vehicle while the driver was pumping gas at Phillips 66 gas station Aug. 4, according to a state police Facebook post.
Police wrote: "The suspect entered the unlocked driver door and grabbed the purse in the passenger seat, and made a quick getaway before the owner had known the item was taken. It happens very quick.
"With the increase of crimes occurring while at gas stations, please be sure to be aware of your surroundings, place your belongings out of sight and difficult to access. If you plan on entering the store, turn your vehicle off, take the keys and lock your doors."
