RESCHEDULED FROM LAST SUNDAY!! Seminar for Dog Owners at Lock Stock and Barrel

Reschheduled for January 31 due to the snowstorm last week! Learn how to keep your dog healthy and happy with physical therapy and exercis

Join us on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Lock Stock & Barrel 770 Amity Road in Bethany for this fun, informative and interactive seminar. Physical therapy (or physical rehabilitation) in canines and other species is similar in practice to physical therapy in humans and employs many of the same techniques. If you have a dog afflicted by a chronic debilitating condition such as arthritis, back pain, cruciate ligament strain, or if your pooch has trouble maintaining his/her figure, come and learn about the things that you can do to help your best friend get up, keep moving and stay in tip top shape. This is also ideal for working dogs, canine athletes and other active dogs who may need things to do at home between their events to keep their minds and bodies young.

Veterinarian Dr. Kim MacDonald and certified veterinary technician Jill Bruno from Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine in North Haven will present “Canine Rehabilitation and the Family Dog”. Both Dr. MacDonald and Jill are certified in canine rehabilitation and will share their expertise with dog owners. Physical rehab can help alleviate pain, joint stiffness, enhance mobility, and improve the quality of your dogs’s life.

This seminar is free and open to the public. Seating is limited so come early.
