The Cat in the Hat Drops in at Bethany Community School
Read Across America starts locally with a few of everyone's favorite books

On March 2, Bethany Community School PTO celebrated the birthday of Theodor Geisel, otherwise known as Dr. Seuss, with a pajama read along birthday party. Volunteer readers, including Bethany Superintendant Tim Connellan, along with the Cat in the Hat himself, read to children from grades pre-kindergarten through second grade before celebrating with cake.
March 2 also commemorated the National Education Association's "Read Across America" iniative, emphasizing the importance of reading to and with young children on a daily basis. More than 60 students and their families attended this event. The BCS PTO looks forward to continued participation from the families and thanks all the volunteers that made this event possible.
