Town Installs Speed Tables

The speed tables on Landin Street are designed to provide traffic calming

The Town of Woodbridge installed “speed tables” on Landin Street in an effort to provide traffic calming for the neighborhood.

Drivers frequently use Landin Street, which is mostly a residential street, as a cut through between state Routes 63 and 69. The Town’s Traffic Commission worked with the neighbors, the Board of Selectmen and the Public Works Department to install the speed table to discourage speeding.

“Residents were very concerned about traffic volume and speed,” said First Selectman Ellen Scalettar. “In response the Town has installed these speed tables. I anticipate that residents will see a noticeable difference.”
