Virtus Training Required for All OLOA Parish Volunteers

WOODBRIDGE, CT - Christopher M. Ford, pastor of Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Woodbridge, published this notice to all parish volunteers. Members of the church's adult choir who had not previously received the Virtus Training attended a training session last week in the CCD office at the church.
As mandated by the Archdiocese of Hartford (Office of Safe Environment), all adults in the parish that come in contact with children and/or vulnerable adults must participate in a youth protection training program (Virtus Training.) As our location has quite a number of members that need this training, we are scheduling three sessions at our location– July 17th, August 26th, and September 9th from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. in the conference room in the Rectory.
This training session will be posted on the Archdiocesan website as it will be open to other members of parishes who need this training. Seating will be limited so we ask that if you have not already had this training, please sign up as soon as conveniently possible through the Archdiocesan website. If you are unable to attend this session, you will have to locate another training session offered in the area.

Go to the Archdiocesan website, www.archdioceseofhartford.org. Choose protection of Youth, Office of Safe Enviornment, scroll down to Registration and schedules of training in the Archdiocese. Select “organization,” Hartford, CT. Begin registration…. (our location is CHURCH OF THE ASSUMPTION, WOODBRIDGE).
