Woodbridge Hiker Falls To His Death Sunday Night
It appears the man fell from the mountain/cliff area onto the rocks below.

Sam Shekman, 20, of Woodbridge, died Sunday when he accidentally fell from the mountain/cliff area onto the rocks below at the West Rock woods, police said in a press release.
Police said at approximately 11:09 pm the Woodbridge Police Department received a complaint that a hiker had not returned home from an early evening hike.
An extensive investigation and search of the area was initiated and the Woodbridge Police Department, assisted by members of the Woodbridge Fire Department, Seymour Police Department, Hamden Police Department and the Connecticut State Police, located the deceased hiker in the West Rock woods on some rocks.

The hiker was pronounced dead at the scene and the medical examiner, as well as his next of kin were notified. Early stages of the investigation reveal that Shekman appeared to have accidently fallen from the mountain/cliff area onto the rocks below. The investigation is continuing and an autopsy is scheduled, police said.
