Woodbridge Man Killed After Car Strikes Bull

The incident occurred in Vermont.

A Woodbridge man was killed in a car crash in Vermont after police say his car struck a bull that escaped from its pasture.

According to Vermont State Police, troopers responded to a single vehicle crash on Friday around 10:20 p.m. in Killington, Vt.

A Subaru Crosstrek, driven by 62-year-old Jon Bellis was traveling west on U.S. Route 4 when it stuck a large Scottish Highlander Bull that had escaped from its pasture, police said. After striking the bull, the car continued to travel in a westbound direction and went down a small grassy hill before colliding with a tree.

Bellis died at the scene.

The passenger, Kathryn Barry, 60, of Woodbridge suffered a minor injury to her wrist.

According to police, the crash severely damaged the front quadrant, hood and roof of the car.
