WOODBRIDGE, CT — The following arrests were reported in Woodbridge recently:
- Rachael Brady, 31, of Milford, was charged with theft of a payment card, illegal use of a payment card, sixth-degree larceny, and identity theft. Police served an arrest warrant for Brady on July 28. Brady’s arrest stems from a March incident where she is accused of stealing a co-worker’s credit card and making unauthorized transactions. Brady posted $1,500 bond and was released. She was scheduled to appear in New Haven Superior Court on Aug. 10.
- Thomas Martin Brown, 73, of Woodbridge, was charged with evading responsibility and unsafe movement of a stopped vehicle. Police responded to a local business’s parking lot Aug. 3 for a report of a motor vehicle accident where the driver left the scene. Police determined that Brown was driving the vehicle that caused the accident. Brown returned to the scene and was charged. He was released on a promise to appear in New Haven Superior Court on Aug. 16.
- Juan Miguel Collazo Rivero, 53, of Sarasota, FL, was charged with criminal attempt to commit third-degree larceny and third-degree forgery. Police responded to a local bank after an employee reported a customer attempted to cash a check that was forged. Police located Collazo Rivero and confirmed that he had attempted to cash a check associated with a bank account that was compromised. Collazo Rivero was charged and was unable to post a $5,000 bond. Collazo Rivero was held at the police department until Aug. 15 when he was transported to New Haven Superior Court for his arraignment.
