Woodbridge Police Introduce New Patrol Officer
The officer has 20 years of experience and is also a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

WOODBRIDGE, CT — The Woodbridge Police Department recently welcomed a new patrol officer. Officer Matthew Lima was sworn-in during the October 9, 2018 meeting of the Woodbridge Board of Police Commissioners.
Officer Lima joins the department following his recent retirement from the Milford Police Department where he served for 20 years in various capacities, inclusive of being a K-9 Handler and a member of the Special Response Team, with assignments in both the Patrol Division and as a detective in the General Investigations Section. He is also a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Police Chief Frank Cappiello stated that Officer Lima brings a wealth of experience and exemplary attributes that will complement the goals and objectives of the Woodbridge Police Department, and wished him many years of continued success and safety.
