Woodbridge Residents: Let the Boy Scouts Recycle Your Christmas Tree

Troop 41 in Woodbridge will pick up recycled trees on Jan 11.

Boy Scout Troop 41 will pick up and recycle your Christmas Trees on the morning of Jan. 11.

The troop has a deep appreciation in preserving the environment and actively observes the Boy Scout principle of Leave No Trace.

Once you subscribe to the web event, the troop will pick up your tree on Sunday, Jan. 11. The tree will be mulched and ultimately re-used in landscaping.

This is a fund raising event that will specifically be used to support camperships, community service projects and gear for the troop’s summer high adventure trip. Troop 41 is an active Woodbridge Troop of thirty-three scouts engaged in fun activities designed to develop personal skills, community engagement, and leadership development. The troop program includes monthly outings, summer camp, high adventure trip and community services projects. For their community service, the troop built an outdoor chapel and a community garden, they have also patrolled and cleared a segment of the town’s Blue Trail as well as built trail bridges and walkways.
