Woodbridge Residents Oppose Change to 55-and-Older Housing Development
The unbuilt housing complex reportedly received initial approval when the economy and housing market were more robust.

Woodbridge, CT - A proposed change to a 55-and-older housing complex plan reportedly is garnering opposition from hundreds of Woodbridge residents.
The developers of the proposed 134-unit complex, located in the Woodbridge Village District, want the age restriction lifted, writes the New Haven Register.
They received initial approval for the project years ago, when the economy and housing market were more robust. But now the developers fear they may not be able banks willing to lend with the age restriction in place.

Dozens of residents oppose the planned change and submitted a 250-signature petition against it. They say the town's traffic and quality of life would be adversely impacted by allowing the complex to move forward without the age restriction.
