Pickle Ball Demonstration! The Woodbridge Senior Center will host a demonstration of Pickleball at the Center Gym at 4 Meetinghouse Lane on Tuesday, Sept. 27th at 6pm by USAPA Pickleball Ambassador, Diane Sullivan. Pickleball is a combination of tennis, badminton and ping pong. Adults 50+ interested in learning more and/or trying this new sport are encouraged to attend! “Cooking for everybody’ Brookdale Woodbridge will be sponsoring a 4-week cooking class targeted to improve food prep & cooking skills. The class will run Thursdays beginning on Sept. 15th and will run through Oct. 6th from 9:30am until noon. The first 3 classes will be held at the Senior Center and the final “graduation” class will be held at Brookdale Woodbridge, 330 Amity Road at 10:30am. Painting for Pleasure – Sign up today for this community art class! Get to know fellow art enthusiasts and receive personal training from the instructor. The class is taught by artist, muralist, and designer Graham Dale. This class will work with acrylics, oils or watercolors and is for any level of experience. The art class will be held in the Senior Center on Wednesdays for 10 weeks, starting on September 7th. The cost is $60.00 for 10 classes. Students are requested to bring their own supplies. iPhone & iPad Classes Woodbridge Senior Center in collaboration with the Woodbridge Town Library will offer iPad training with three 1-hour Wednesday classes at the Center Building- room 11- beginning on Wednesday, September 14th through Wednesday, September 28th. This intergenerational program will feature upper classmen from Amity High School guiding participants through navigating the operating system, mastering messaging, discovering downloadable books and other materials, as well as taking photos and maintaining proper storage technique.
