Woodbridge Summer Concerts, Town Picnic Coming Up

WOODBRIDGE, CT —As our wonderful Summer Concerts on the Green series concludes with performances scheduled for Tuesday July 23rd and 30th, August will kick off with our first annual Town Picnic on the Green. To be held on Tuesday, August 6th to coincide with National Night Out week, the picnic will take place on the Green from 6-8 pm. The Ad Hoc Community Council is organizing this event to provide an opportunity for residents to meet their neighbors and strengthen community ties. For details, please visit the Town website.

Following the picnic on August 6th plan to stay and watch the Library's first Outdoor Movie on the Green (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), which will begin about 8pm. Bring a picnic dinner and, if you'd like, something to share -- Community Council members and other volunteers will be on hand to help introduce you to your neighbors. Rain date for the picnic is August 13.

The Library's Outdoor Movie Nights on the Green will then take place every Tuesday in August (please visit the Library website for details). These concerts and movies are always delightful events and a nice way to unwind and relax, visit with neighbors and friends, and enjoy the summer breeze. I hope to see you there!
