Woodbridge Woman Detained In Kidnapping Case

A man was found dead with gunshot wounds outside of a Woodbridge couple's home.

WOODBRIDGE, CT — A local woman who is alleged to have been involved in a kidnapping and concealment of a murder was ordered detained by a federal judge

Alan Robinson Jr., 37, of New Haven was found dead on Rimmon Road in April 2018 with gunshot wounds in front of the home of Aninha Spear-Zuleta, 31 and Christopher Spear-Zuleta, 45. Neither has been charged with murder.

Aninha Spear-Zuleta is federally charged with robbery, kidnapping by use of force, aiding and abetting her husband Ron Christopher Spear-Zuleta who fled the state after learning of an arrest warrant, according to the New Haven Register. Spear was found by FBI agents in December while he was in San Francisco.

Aninha is additionally charged with second-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit second-degree robbery in state court. She was released on a $100,000 bond for those charges and has pleaded not guilty.

Ron Christopher Spear-Zuleta and Robinson trafficked cocaine together, but eventually had a falling out, according to a federal indictment. Spear-Zuleta said Robinson owed him money.

Robinson’s fiance and another victim were kidnapped and taken back to Robinson and his fiance’s home where Aninha Spear-Zuleta, Maritza Torres and an unknown man ransacked the house for valuables. They took a firearm, drugs, cash and expensive clothing, according to the indictment.

A federal prosecutor said in a motion that there is evidence Aninha Spear-Zuleta concealed evidence of Robinson’s murder, according to the Register.
