• Bloomfield plaza without power for more than a week, businesses struggle (wfsb.com) — Businesses at Wintonbury Mall in Bloomfield have been without power for nine days, leaving about 20 small shops, restaurants, and medical offices struggling to serve customers or pay employees. After a contractor damaged an underground Eversource line and some cables failed safety tests, town officials say they're pushing to restore electricity, but there's still no clear timeline.
   

• Ex-UHart Baseball Standout Showing Moves On 'Dancing With The Stars' (patch.com) — A former University of Hartford baseball standout with ties to the Bloomfield campus is now competing on "Dancing With the Stars," drawing cheers from his alma mater.
