JOB: Canoe Brook Center Bus Driver

TOWN OF BRANFORD HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR THE POSITION OF:
 
Bus Driver (Part-Time)
Canoe Brook Center, 11 Cherry Hill Rd, Branford
 
Salary: $ 12.18 per hour

Essential Functions: Driving Seniors to the Canoe Brook Senior Center, scheduled events, trips and grocery shopping in Senior Center mini buses as needed. Practice safe driving procedures.
 
Qualification Requirements Must be able to work a flexible as needed schedule, days and or evenings. Have a valid CDL class B or C with passenger endorsement and ability to operate a 12-18 passenger minibus. the ability to work with seniors a must with some customer service experience.
 
Selection Process:  Application considered with interview.
 
The Town of Branford reserves the right to limit the number of qualified candidates who will be considered for the position.
 
The files of all qualified candidates will be maintained for a minimum of six months from the announcement date, and the qualified candidates will be considered for the same or similar positions which may become available during this timeframe.
 
All candidates not employed by the Town of Branford, prior to employment, must successfully pass a post-offer medical examination, which includes a substance abuse test given at the Town's expense.
 
The Town of Branford has implemented a policy of comprehensive background investigations for positions to be completed prior to hiring as part of the reference checking procedures for candidates not already employed by the Town.  The investigation may be conducted as the last step prior to an offer.  Refusal to sign the release form will terminate the candidate from further consideration.
