Annual Branford Community Foundation Charity Golf Tournament Returns September 29 for Third Year

On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, the Branford Community Foundation (BCF) will host its third annual Charity Golf Tournament at the Pine Orchard Yacht and Country Club in Branford. Last year’s sold-out tournament raised over $36,000 for the Foundation’s mission and operations.

“Our annual Golf Tournament has become a vital part of the fundraising we do to support the work of the Foundation, particularly the back-office and operations functions essential to keeping the Foundation running smoothly,” said BCF Executive Director Liza Janssen Petra. “We are grateful to all the players, sponsors, donors, and supporters who have participated in the Tournament the past two years, and hope this third year will be another successful, impactful event.”

The schedule of events for the day is as follows:

10:30 a.m. Registration Opens, Putting Practice and Driving Range Opens

11:15 a.m. Lunch

12:00 p.m. Tournament Begins, Shotgun Start

5:00 p.m. Dinner, Awards, and Prizes

7:00 p.m. Closing

Player registration is now open at branfordcommunityfoundation.org. Teams consist of 4 players, and lunch and dinner are included in your registration. If you are unable to participate as a golfer, but would still like to attend the event, tickets for dinner can also be purchased now. There are also a range of sponsorship opportunities available, which include prominent sponsor recognition opportunities on the day of the Tournament. Thimble Island Private Wealth returns as the presenting sponsor of the event.

The Branford Community Foundation (BCF), founded in 1980, is a public, nonprofit, tax exempt, charitable trust. It provides an administrative, philanthropic service – a means by which public-spirited citizens may make gifts or bequests, the income from which is distributed for educational, cultural, health, social, and civic needs. The Foundation is overseen by the Board of Directors, composed of community leaders who serve without compensation and who have been selected for their knowledge, interest, and integrity of judgment.
