~Books Bloom Again this Spring~

The Friends of Blackstone Library is relaunching its 2022 Spring Book Sale for two days: Saturday, May 14. 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Sunday, May 15, 1:00 to 3:30 PM. Note new location for the sale--James Blackstone Memorial Library indoor auditorium and outdoor tent, 758 Main Street, Branford. The Friends collected many used books during 2021, which have been carefully sorted and are being sold.

Our traditional bargain prices will prevail for this sale of fiction books. Hard cover-$3; trade paperback-$2; mass market paperback-$0.50. Children’s prices start at $0.50. Classics and large print can be found. No nonfiction is being offered at this time.

Now is the time to stock up on beach reads and summer fun! Find your favorite fiction authors such as King, Deaver, Scottoline, French, Silva, and Christie. Choose from genres like romance, science fiction, horror, thriller, and mystery. Teachers, it’s an opportunity for to supplement classroom libraries at low cost.

The Friends of James Blackstone Memorial Library is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization whose mission is to raise money to support and enrich the Blackstone Public Library. The goals of the Friends of Blackstone include maintaining a focus of public attention on the Library, stimulating use of the Library’s resources, receiving and encouraging gifts, and supporting and cooperating with the James Blackstone Memorial Library in developing its services and facilities to benefit the community.
