Branford Parks & Rec March Family Events Include Spelling Bee, Egg Hunts
Second annual Floating Egg Hunt, annual Jeannette L. Palluzzi Memorial Spelling Bee on March 21. Robert Marston Easter Egg Hunt is March 28.
BRANFORD, CT — Branford Parks, Recreation, and Senior Services is excited to announce a series of family-friendly spring events taking place throughout March, highlighted by the Second Annual Floating Egg Hunt, the Robert Marston Easter Egg Hunt, and the Annual Jeannette L. Palluzzi Memorial Spelling Bee.
Block 1: 11:00–11:30 a.m.
Block 2: 11:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Children will collect eggs floating in the pool, and participants are asked to bring a bucket. Parents are required to assist their child in the water. The department’s mascot, Floppy, will also be on hand to greet participants.
In partnership with the American Legion Corcoran-Sundquist Post #83, the department will host the Robert Marston Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 28, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Foote Memorial Park. This event is free for all Branford residents, with no registration required. Participants should arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the hunt. An allergy-free egg hunt option will also be available. (Rain date: April 4.)
Additionally, Branford Parks, Recreation, and Senior Services will present the Annual Jeannette L. Palluzzi Memorial Spelling Bee on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the Joe Trapasso Community House. This free event honors one of Branford’s most loyal and beloved educators and will feature the following divisions:
3rd Grade: 9:30 a.m.
4th Grade: 10:00 a.m.
5th & 6th Grade: 10:30 a.m.
7th & 8th Grade: 11:00 a.m.
High School & Adults: 11:30 a.m.
