Legacy Theatre Welcomes Long Wharf Theatre's Production of Arthur Miller's 'The Price' (patch.com) — Branford's Legacy Theatre in Stony Creek is teaming up with Long Wharf Theatre to present Arthur Miller's The Price this fall at the Jewel Box Theatre. Local audiences can see a new, Asian American–centered staging of the classic drama, with previews starting Oct. 30 and performances running through Nov. 22.

You'll need to check in at the window and bring your own shovel and gloves, while nearby towns like East Haven, Guilford, Old Lyme, and Waterford are offering similar sandbag stations.
   

4. FEMA awards millions to emergency responders throughout Connecticut (wtnh.com) — Branford's fire department is set to receive more than $67,000 in FEMA funding to buy new firefighting hose, part of nearly $3.8 million awarded to emergency responders across Connecticut. Neighboring towns like East Haven, Guilford, and Madison are also getting money for gear, vehicles, and training, boosting regional readiness for fires and other emergencies.
