Branford Provides Free WiFi On Town Green For Community
In a world that is now largely online, the town has moved to provide free Internet access to residents on the Branford Town Green.

BRANFORD, CT — As most of what folks do every day, from work to school to shopping to entertainment, is online, the town announced late Wednesday that it's providing free Wi-Fi access on the Town Green.
"As Wi-Fi access is becoming increasingly important for homeschooling, healthcare, remote working and entertainment this access point will provide an additional resource for residents to stay connected," a statement from the office of First Selectman Jamie Cosgrove reads.
"The outdoor Wi-Fi access on the Town Green allows residents and visitors to surf the web, check email, connect with friends and family or check out social media while enjoying the outdoors," it reads.

Cosgrove said the free internet access is an "opportunity to provide additional access to technology and create a new way for residents and families to visit and enjoy our beautiful town center."
To connect turn on Wi-Fi under settings on your device and it should automatically connect to the wireless network named Bfdpublic.
