Since the seedlings are bareroot, immediate planting and watering are essential for their survival. Residents are encouraged to bring a waterproof container or bag to transport seedlings.
The event will be held on the lawn of the Blackstone Memorial Library on either Saturday, April 25, or May 16 from 10 a.m. to noon. The final date will be determined when the trees are ready for shipping.
One bareroot tree or shrub seedling will be distributed to each attendee. Check the Branford Conservation and Environment Commission’s Facebook page on April 24, Arbor Day, for the confirmed date.
