BRANFORD, CT — The town just posted two jobs, one a part-time mechanic for the Branford Fire Department. The other is a full-time role as a senior accountant in the town's Finance Department.
The finance job pays from $34.74 to $40.87 hourly, or roughly $72,800 to $83,200 annually. The range is based on experience.
The senior accountant does professional accounting and financial reporting for municipal operations, keeps accurate financial records, follows applicable laws and regulations, and reports financial information on time for internal management, elected officials, auditors, and the public.

The 19-hour-a-week maximum mechanic job pays $39.19 a year.
This position is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on various gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, including fire apparatus, pumps, small engines, and marine motors. Work ensures that all Branford Fire Department equipment remains safe, reliable, and operational.

The town is also hiring a part-time seasonal maintainer and a part-time hourly maintainer.
The seasonal 16-week job, from Memorial Day to Labor Day, pays $16.94 an hour.
The part-time hourly maintainer is a year-round job with a maximum of 19 hours a week. It pays $19.39 an hour.
Maintainers support the daily operation, safety, and appearance of recreation facilities, parks, and grounds operated by the Branford Parks, Recreation, and Senior Services Department.
