Jacey Wyatt, Transgender Candidate, Running For Governor: Report
The Branford resident has sought public office in the past.

BRANFORD, CT — Jacey Wyatt, a former model and former candidate for Branford First Selectman, is running for governor of Connecticut as a Democrat, reports the Connecticut Post.
If she wins, Wyatt would be the state's first transgender governor, having undergone gender reassignment nearly 15 years ago, according to the publication. She has sought public office in her hometown in the past as a Republican in 2013, and as an Independent in 2015. This is her first attempt at statewide office.
Democratic incumbent Gov. Dannel Malloy has not announced whether he will seek a third term, but Shelton Mayor Mark Lauretti has also announced his candidacy.
