Obituary: Rose M. Williamson, 83, of Branford

A 60-year Branford resident, she was a longtime dental assistant who loved to read and send time on the shoreline as she loved the water.

Rose M. Williamson of Branford, died Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Apple Rehab Laurel Woods in East Haven, Connecticut. She was the beloved wife of Richard Williamson. Rose was born in New Haven August 23, 1939, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Harvey. Rose was predeceased by her brother Joseph Harvey, Jr. of West Haven. She is survived by her brother Daniel Harvey of Branford.

Rose was a resident of Branford for over sixty years. Her strength, courage and unwavering support of her family will be forever remembered and cherished. Her warm smile, sense of humor and kindness will be dearly missed.

Rose had a career as a Dental Assistant for Dr. George Florentine, DDS and Dr. Richard Grossman, DDS. Rose loved to read and enjoyed her trips to the shoreline as she loved the water.

Rose was the beloved mother to Richard Williamson and wife Maggie of Sterling, VA, Matthew Williamson and wife Susan of Brooklyn, CT, Timothy Williamson and wife Wendy of Killingworth, CT and Lisa Kesilewski and husband Dennis of Wallingford, CT. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren who were the loves of her life: Kevin and Hannah Williamson, Patrick and Elizabeth Williamson, Spencer Williamson, Meghan and Emily Kesilewski. She also leaves a great-granddaughter Blake Williamson.
