State Rep. Robin Comey highlights how the BusinessPlus platform helps employers with 50 or fewer workers manage health benefit costs while giving staff access to individual plans through the state marketplace.
   

• Two dogs die in Branford after being swept through a flooded culvert (darientimes.com) — Branford officials are warning residents after two dogs recently drowned in Pisgha Brook at Supply Pond when flash flooding swept them through underground culverts, with other dogs narrowly surviving. New warning signs and community alerts are being rolled out within days, and residents are urged to keep themselves and their pets out of fast-moving water, especially with another storm expected this weekend.
