Register now for Legacy Theatre’s Winter 2023 Classes!

BRANFORD, CT January 5th – Looking for something fun for you or your child to do this winter? If you want to further your theatre training, dust off some old acting chops, or even learn a new skill and meet new people, Legacy Theatre has classes for all ages and skill levels!

This Winter, Legacy Theatre is once again partnering with the Branford Parks and Recreation Department to offer a series of exciting performance classes at the Joe Trapasso Community House in Branford. The Winter session of courses is for theatre lovers and novices alike, beginning January 14 and running Saturdays through March 18. The class offerings include: “Toddler Time!,” “Fairy Tale Musical,” “Auditioning Class for Plays & Musicals,” “Shakespeare Pops!,” “Intro to Improv,” and “Advanced Improv.” In addition to all of these classes, Legacy will also be running the “Wheel Life Theatre Troupe,” a free class for those who ambulate with crutches or use wheelchairs, and a newly established class, “Shakespeare and the Veteran’s Journey,” which is a free program open to all veterans and led by Drama Therapist Mary Lou Lauricella. Registration for Winter classes is open now and closes Tuesday, January 10 at midnight, so make sure to secure a spot before they’re gone! In addition to the Winter courses, registration is now also open for Legacy’s “Acting for Adults,” a Spring class offered in partnership with Shoreline Adult Education. Beginning April 18 and running Tuesday evenings through May 30, this course will provide students with instruction from professional actors in an intimate class size with fun, supportive, and engaging exercises and scenes. Through scene work, monologues, and theatre games, participants will build upon existing performance skills, or enjoy exploring something new.
