From the CT Lottery:

BRANFORD, CT — Legally speaking, dogs cannot claim lottery prizes in Connecticut. At least, that’s what Hank’s owner says he told his dog after a dream of winning last month’s historic jackpot turned into a very real prize worth $150,000.

The winner, a Branford man, said he used the Quick Pick option with the Power Play add-on to select his numbers but is convinced his dog, Hank, deserves most of the credit as the household’s resident good-luck charm.

The winning ticket was purchased at Wine Barrel on West Main Street in Branford. Hank didn’t let the moment go to waste and tagged along with his owner to CT Lottery headquarters in Wallingford to claim the prize.

The owner said the winnings will go toward a much-needed ACL surgery for Hank—plus plenty of treats for a job well done. Hank was, by all accounts, a very good boy.
