Vox Church Hosts Night to Shine Prom for People with Special Needs
Vox Church served as a host site for the 2024 Night to Shine prom for people with special needs sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation.
On Sunday, February 9, Vox Church Branford served as a host site for the 2024 Night to Shine prom for people with special needs. Sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation, the unforgettable prom night experience centered on God’s love and celebrated people with special needs from across Connecticut. Over 150 Honored Guests, family members, and caretakers were in attendance, as well as over 200 volunteers from Vox Church
“I am so grateful that Vox Church was able to host this incredible prom event that celebrates people for their God-given worth,” said Vox Church Special Needs Director Tania Hernandez. “We answered a calling to make space in our church where people are valued, loved, and honored for their differing abilities. I hope this event continues to be a catalyst to change how culture embraces people with special needs and that we can continue to come alongside and welcome this community throughout the year.”
Night to Shine is hosted by churches all around the globe who desire to share the love of Christ with their community of people with special needs. Night to Shine is a complimentary event, and while each event is a little different, some activities include a red carpet entrance complete with a warm welcome from a friendly crowd and paparazzi, hair and makeup stations, limousine rides, corsages and boutonnieres, a catered dinner, dancing, karaoke, gifts, a Respite Room for parents and caregivers, a Sensory Room, and a crowning ceremony where every honored guest receives a crown or tiara!
