Victim Injured In Bridgeport Shooting For 2nd Time In A Year: Police
The shooting occurred early Monday on Howard Avenue, according to Bridgeport police.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 29-year-old Bridgeport man suffered multiple gunshot wounds early Monday during a shooting on Howard Avenue, according to police, who said this is the second time the victim has been shot while on Howard Avenue in less than a year.
The victim was listed in stable condition at an undisclosed hospital, as Bridgeport police continue to search for the suspects, according to Capt. Kevin Gilleran.
"The victim reports that three unidentified males wearing ski masks are responsible," Gilleran said in a statement. "Victim states all suspects fled the scene on foot along Howard Avenue-unknown direction."

Police said the victim survived a gunshot wound to the stomach on May 22, 2022.
Authorities were notified about Monday's shooting by a ShotSpotter gunshot detection and a 911 call at about 12:25 a.m.

The shooting occurred in the 1200 block of Howard Avenue, and after the victim was found by police and medical personnel, he was rushed to an area hospital.
Detectives have collected evidence and have conducted interview in connection with the case, and the investigation remains active, according to police.
