$1M Bond For Bridgeport Man Charged With Murder: Police
Two men exchanged words in a Bridgeport bar shortly before one repeatedly shot the other, according to Bridgeport police.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport man is charged in connection with the death of Fredrick Shelby, which occurred earlier this month, police said.
Tivon Taylor, 40, of Eric Street, was arrested Monday and is charged with murder, criminal possession of a firearm and carrying a pistol without a permit, according to police. He is being held on a $1 million bond and will be arraigned Tuesday, police said.
The men had exchanged words March 18, before Taylor followed Shelby out of Tae's Lounge, 1014 Stratford Ave., and shot Shelby, 43, of Bridgeport, multiple times, according to police.

"In a statement to investigators, Taylor admitted to shooting Shelby," police said in a news release.
