$20,000 Winning Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket Sold In Bridgeport

A local resident is also the lucky winner, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport resident is $20,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Tuesday, Collie R. claimed a winning 20X Cash 8th Edition ticket that was bought at Za Grocery on Fairfield Avenue.

The Connecticut Lottery publishes partial winner information as public record, according to officials.

The game, which costs $20 per ticket, began in June 2022, and as of Thursday, 10 grand prizes of $20,000 remained unclaimed.

More than 2.8 million game tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 4.08.
