Bridgeport Cop Reinstated After Sexting Crime Victim

An internal affairs investigation found the detective violated department rules.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport detective who was accused of sending unsolicited sexually explicit messages to a burglary victim finished his 30 day suspension.

Detective David Garcia was given the 30 day suspension without pay and used bankable holiday time, according to the Connecticut Post.

A lawsuit has been filed against the police department by the victim. In the texts Garcia mentions various sexual positions and acts, according to the lawsuit.
