Huge Reward Offered In Bridgeport For Information Leading To Arrest In 2020 Murder: Police (patch.com) — Bridgeport police are offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the 2020 killing of 24-year-old Heriberto Marquez, who was fatally shot near Iranistan Avenue and Hanover Street. Connecticut police agencies rally behind Bridgeport officer fighting aggressive lung cancer (ctpost.com) — A Bridgeport police officer, Steven Teixeira, is fighting an aggressive form of lung cancer and will be out of work for an extended period, prompting a Spotfund campaign that has already raised over $52,000. Police agencies from nearby towns like Shelton and Trumbull are publicly rallying behind him, encouraging residents to keep the officer and his family in their thoughts.
