Bridgeport Heads To The Polls Tuesday For Mayoral Do-Over Election
Polls open in Bridgeport at 6 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — Tuesday is Election Day in Bridgeport for Mayor, a do-over vote following issues with absentee ballot fraud in a primary last year.
Incumbent Mayor Joe Ganim, a Democrat, is facing off against former city administrator John Gomes, who is running as an independent.
Tuesday's race marks the fourth time the two will challenge each other in the last seven months, the Connecticut Post reported.
