After his release, Gaiter registered as a sex offender in Galveston County, Texas, in July 2021 and later moved to Lee County, Florida, in January 2022 without notifying Texas authorities, according to prosecutors.
The U.S. Marshals Service in Connecticut was notified in December 2025 that Gaiter was wanted in Texas and Florida for allegedly failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements and was believed to be living in Connecticut, according to court documents. Investigators determined that Gaiter was living in Bridgeport and had not registered as a sex offender in Connecticut.
