Bridgeport Resident Wins $50,000 In CT Lottery

The lucky scratch-off ticket was sold in Ansonia, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport resident is $50,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket she purchased in Ansonia, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Tuesday, Monica B. claimed a winning DIAMONDS & GOLD ticket she bought at the Main Street Shell station.

The Connecticut Lottery publishes partial winner information as public record, according to officials.

The game, which costs $30 per ticket, began in May 2022, and as of Wednesday, two grand prizes of $1 million remained unclaimed.

Additionally, there was one remaining second-place prize of $300,000, and three third-place prizes of $50,000 were still available.

More than 2.8 million game tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 2.98.
