UPDATE: Early Morning Fight Leads to Lockdown of Bridgeport School

No one is being allowed in or out of the facility as a precaution Wednesday.

Updated at 11:40 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2016: Simmering emotions from last week's shooting death of Bridgeport resident Kahilil Sloan-Diaz reportedly could be one of the causes of a Wednesday morning fight - and subsequent lockdown - at Fairchild-Wheeler High School.

Several students rushed past security Wednesday morning without being checked, which led to the fight, and prompted the temporary lockdown, reports the Connecticut Post.

Police called the lockdown "minor" and no injuries were reported.
