Bridgeport Gang Member Sentenced To 40 Years For Teen's Murder, Other Crimes
He also helped plan and carry out retaliation shootings of East End gang members in front of a Bridgeport courthouse, officials said.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport man was sentenced Wednesday to 40 years in prison for murder and other violent crimes he committed while in a Bridgeport gang, authorities said.
Tyiese Warren, also known as “Loose Screw,” received 480 months of imprisonment followed by three years of supervised release, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the District of Connecticut.
Warren, 21, has been a member of the Original North End, a gang based in the Trumbull Gardens area, the news release said.

On Dec. 8, 2019, Warren and others shot and killed 18-year-old Ty’Quess Moore, who was connected to the East End/P.T. Barnum gang alliance, according to the news release.
Warren also helped plan and carry out retaliation shootings of East End gang members and associates in front of a Bridgeport courthouse, the news release said.

Police responded about noon Jan. 27, 2020, to 172 Golden Hill St. after a shot spotter detected roughly 20 shots fired in front of the state courthouse, according to the news release. Four victims were shot while sitting in a black Chevrolet Impala, the news release said. One was left paralyzed after being shot in the side of his chest and another suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his back, shoulder and wrist, according to the news release, which noted the vehicle had about 23 entry bullet holes in the driver’s side and windshield area.
Warren also participated in gang-related drug trafficking, the news release said.
Further, on March 25, 2020, Warren and an accomplice stole a car in front of a gas station in the 2000 block of Barnum Avenue in Stratford, according to the news release. During the theft, they dragged the car’s driver — who was hanging onto the vehicle — several hundred yards before he let go, the news release said.
Warren and an accomplice then carjacked a Toyota Corolla in Bridgeport, holding the owner at gunpoint, according to the news release. Minutes later, Warren and an accomplice committed an armed robbery of a gas station in Stratford, stealing cash from the store and a cellphone from an employee, the news release said. Stratford police arrested Warren later that night after he crashed another stolen car on an Interstate 95 on-ramp and fled police, according to the news release.
Warren has been detained since March 25, 2020, the news release said, adding that on Oct. 25, 2021, he pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to engage in a pattern of racketeering activity.
